Comfort™ encompasses five specially designed features. Together they make the device unique and ensure user-friendliness.
The cannula:
Comfort™'s introducer needle is encased in a soft and flexible cannula.
The cannula and the introducer needle make both insertion and leaving the cannula in place after the removal of needle as simple and painless as possible.
Insertion angle:
Comfort™ is particularly well-suited for people with a thin layer of fatty tissue; due to its insertion angle the cannula is not inserted very deep under the skin.
The set allows you to find the right angle for you. We do, however, recommend an insertion angle of 20 to 45 degrees. Always consult your healthcare professional before inserting your set.
Disconnect option:
Comfort™ is disconnected and connected by a simple push/pull mechanism - the most natural way to put things together and to take them apart. You get both a visual and audible indication of whether your set has been correctly connected or not.
An audible "click" will sound once the set has been securely connected. A small window in front of the cannula housing allows you to check whether the soft cannula is properly inserted in the subcutaneous layer of tissue. If the soft cannula is visible through the window, the cannula is not placed properly under the skin. Moreover, the injection site can be checked for irritation or inflammation.
The tubing:
The inner layer of the tubing is made of insulin compatible polyethylene (PE). The protective outer layer is made of kink-free polyurethane (PUR). This combination guarantees a steady, unobstructed flow of insulin and strengthens the tubing.
The adhesive:
Comfort™ has a built-in adhesive and no extra tapes are necessary. Moreover, the adhesive is hypoallergenic, discreet and strong - ready to face the challenges of your activities, whether they be swimming, running or simply playing.
