Test strips with gold electrodes
The large, absorbent test strip makes it possible to take up blood samples safely and cleanly from various points of withdrawal. Hygiene and cleanliness are a matter of the highest priority for Pura, for even when the test strip is removed, there is no contact with blood. The clou of it: the test strip is inserted “transversely” into the glucose meter, as shown in the figure below. Measurement with a blood volume of one microliter takes five seconds and is extremely precise: gold electrodes make sure of that. They enable optimum signal transmission during reading. Although the device is highly compact, it has a large display. Thanks to the bright background light, the data are easy to read even in darkness. The blood glucose meter does not need to be coded. What is more, it stores up to 500 measured values together with their dates and times. The blood glucose profile can be transferred to the computer by means of a USB interface. In this way, the electronic diabetes diary always remains up to date.
